Action Research Surveys

Brief surveys.
Space to reflect on change.

For leaders across K12 school districts, human resource departments, and corporate L&D teams. Explore how you respond to the changes you are leading and experiencing.

Explore the three topics

Why we are asking

Notice your response.
Consider your next step.

We want to learn how people describe their introspective practices when change feels demanding, progress stalls, or new technology changes familiar ways of working.

The purpose is reflection that can inform action, improve practical resources, and surface patterns for shared learning. It is not a grade for your leadership. These practice-focused action research surveys have no external funding.

Our three areas of focus

What is change asking of you?

01 / Pulse

Overload

Notice your response to pressure. This micro study brings together workbook questions about stress awareness, communicating needs, and recognizing recurring or systemic patterns.

A reflection on your practices, not a measure of workload or a diagnosis of burnout.

02 / Pulse

Stalled
Implementation

Notice the patterns between intention and action. This micro study draws on workbook questions about pattern recognition, understanding across differences, and navigating disagreement.

A reflection on how you approach stalled change, not an evaluation of implementation success.

03 / Pulse

Trust During
AI Adoption

Reflect on the human side of AI-related change. This micro study uses existing workbook questions about inclusive communication, power dynamics, disagreement, and emotional awareness.

The introduction provides the AI context. The questions remain unchanged; this is not an AI-readiness or organizational trust score.

Purpose and design

Practical questions.
Clear limits.

Workbook questions, preserved

Each survey includes nine required rating statements and one optional written question selected directly from the Inner Compass Leadership Development Workbook. Topic introductions frame the experience without rewriting the questions. “Not applicable / I don't know” and “Prefer not to answer” are available for every rating.

Only industry and team role

Two dropdowns provide context: your industry and primary team role. No names, employers, exact job titles, or other demographic details are requested. Both dropdowns include “Prefer not to answer.” Together with the workbook questions, that makes twelve fields.

Reflection, not a diagnosis

These are exploratory self-report surveys. They describe the practices participants report, not an independent assessment of their organization or a validated leadership score.

Participation by choice

Adults aged 18 or older, currently in the United States and reflecting on a relevant workplace change, may choose one, two, or all three surveys while collection is open. The PDF is available after a confirmed submission, including when you decline individual answers. Other free resources remain accessible without submitting.

Private responses, shared learning

Responses are stored in a restricted Google Sheet, not a public dashboard. We share only aggregate findings and non-identifying summaries. Do not include identifying details. Individual responses are retained through July 1, 2030, subject to the exceptions and deletion procedures in our Privacy Policy.

Funding and attribution

These surveys have no external funding. Research led by Justine González, ORCID 0009-0007-5911-903X. ProTEACHai Foundation is responsible for the surveys and response handling.

Looking through 2028

From reflection
to shared learning.

Participation closes July 1, 2027 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Analysis and sharing aggregate findings may continue through 2028; that does not extend the survey window. A future dashboard may show response patterns with the collection period, response counts, and limitations clearly stated.

Responses will be unlinked. These snapshots will not track individual development, establish cause and effect, or represent every workplace.

No findings or live dashboard are available yet. Questions about participation or accessibility can be sent to proteachconnect@proton.me.
